Summer is here and there’s plenty of fun to be had with exciting days out. Here are a couple we recommend:
The Trolleybus Museum

Electric road vehicles aren’t new! Come and ride on buses that ran on mains electricity, but disappeared from British streets in. But it’s not just buses – the museum also has a Toy Museum, a replica Cycle Shop and other attractions. For more information, visit the website: www.sandtoft.org
Somerset & Dorset Railway

Come and ride on the iconic Somerset & Dorset Railway at Midsomer Norton, in the heart of the Mendip Hills. The Victorian station and signal box have been restored, and our aim is to recreate the feel of a country station in the 1950’s. Your two mile round trip will either be on the DMU, or in the Mark 1 coaches hauled by a diesel shunter. Whilst visiting, make sure you also visit the museum, WW2 pillbox, shop Emporium and not forgetting our popular buffet. For something different, why not ride the Wickham Trolley along the length of the line. Full details www.sdjr.co.uk
